Virtually all of our instruments are multifunctional in nature, with many augmented by adapters and accessories for an ever greater versatility. But, that is usually limited to measuring and testing functionalities and does not cover e.g. calibration or demonstration, at least not any combination of the two. Well, this is all about to change now.
We have designed the dual-purpose CS 2890 Power Calibrator / Simulator that acts as both a didactic/demonstration tool for simulating power quality phenomena and a calibrator of our 3rd generation power quality analysers (PQAs). It can simulate a wide variety of voltage and current events, including harmonics, and can calibrate PQAs in accordance with predefined calibration point, specific for each PQA. Compatible with MI 2892 Power Master, MI 2885 Master Q4 and MI 2883 Energy Master.
